• Sandro Bellomo nasce a New York (U.S.A.) nel 1965. Da venti anni lavora come artista di strada in molte città. Ha vissuto a Roma fino al 1990. La sua casa-laboratorio si trova attualmente a Soleto (Lecce). Due sono i temi della sua ricerca: il volto umano, composto da una struttura di linee, e il colore che rafforza e spettacolarizza la forma. Tra questi elementi non vi è, tuttavia, alcuna complementarità. Un rapporto immediato, invece, esiste tra il colore e la sua forza e le sensazioni che nell'immediato scaturiscono dal suo utilizzo. Spesso alla tensione dei volti si contrappone l'evasione del colore. Le opere sono realizzate su supporti di vario genere: carta, legno, tela e con altrettanti materiali: acquerello, pastello a olio, pastello a cera, acrilico e colore a olio.
• Sandro Bellomo was born in New York (U.S.A.) in 1965. Since the last twenty years he has been working as a street artist in many cities. He was use to live in Rome up to the end of 1990 and his house-atelier is currently in Soleto (Lecce). There are two main themes to his artistic research: the human face, composed of a structure of lines and the study of colour, which reinforces and strikes the geometric form. Anyway, the use of colours and the structure of lines cannot be considered complementary. On the other hand there is an immediate link between the colour and its strength and consequently to the feelings that are provoke by its use. Often the use of the colour contrasts and mitigates the tension of the faces. The works of art are produced on bases of various types : paper, wood, cloth and also with different materials: water colour, oil pastel, wax pastel, acrylic and oil paint.
